Doodles & Daydreams

DUY's artistic team created an intergenerational project, Doodles & Daydreams, based in the Bradford District.
Peace, Love, My Little Pony, Redemption, Utopia and A New Beginning are just some of the ideas explored with six groups from across the city. Ranging for 4yrs old to 64 yrs old, both new and experienced dancers, DUY brought together 60 dancers in a unique piece of exciting and moving choreography which was performed for the first time at the Riley Theatre, Leeds on Wednesday 14th December at 7pm.
The piece was inspired by David Hockney’s painting ‘Garrowby Hill’, depicting a winding road through idyllic Yorkshire countryside and has been choreographed by Steph Potter and Helen Linsell with Artistic Mentorship from Gary Clarke.
