Wessex Dance Academy looking for role models

Wessex Dance Academy looking for role models
Wessex Dance Academy is looking for four Academy Role Models to join the company of dancers this autumn.

This opportunity is open to current and former dance students, over the age of 18, preferably based near Winchester. This is a voluntary role, though there is a limited budget for travel expenses.

The next Wessex Dance Academy project begins on 23rd September 2013 and finishes on 6th December 2013. As an Academy Role Model you will be required everyday, 10:00am - 4:00pm for the first three weeks of the project, from Monday 23rd September to Friday 18th October. You will also be required to come in for some rehearsals at the beginning of December (dates to be confirmed).

In the fun and challenging role, you will be supporting young people through their experience at the Wessex Dance Academy. You will be required to role model in and out of the studio, with a positive attitude throughout. Whilst in the studio, you will follow the same code of conduct that the young people follow, leading by example in the class and whilst learning new movement, encourage the learning of others. Outside the studio the ideal candidate will continue to set a good example to the young people we are working with and promote positive conversations and social skills.

If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please send your CV and an informal cover letter via email to Claire Alldis. Successful applicants will be invited to the Academy for a selection day on Monday 9th September, where you will participate in class followed by an information discussion about the role.
